Well, it's been a while since my last update but I'm really excited to share photos of the truck with its new fancy wrap!
It was in the last update post that I shared because of the awesome feedback I received from YOU, we finally landed on the perfect design. When I say perfect, I mean it. I don't think this design could be any more 'me'. 😍
We're also extremely grateful for the amazing job Crux Roadboardz did from taking our idea of the wrap and turning it into reality.
They were absolutely the best to work with. On a side note, the first time they came out to take their own measurements of the truck, I ran out of the house with an empty can of wine in a plastic bag and they didn't even think it was weird. That just confirmed I made the right choice on an entirely different level.
Why did I do that? I forgot to mention when I was grocery shopping and pursuing down the adult beverage aisle, this can of wine caught my attention right away. It wasn't because it was wine in a can (which I also think is a neat concept) but it was because I LOVED the matte finish and of course, the color.
And true Megan style, no wine can be left open for an extended amount of time in my household, so I drank it before handing the can off to Crux Roadboardz.
Anyway, once the measurements were taken by Crux, they sent us a template to use for the design. This was something we requested since John and I both have the experience in design and we really wanted to design the wrap ourselves.
One of the things we had to take into consideration was the placement of the window on the one side of the truck. We didn't want things to look too jumbled, but I also wanted to make sure there was enough space to add a window box when I'm parked at events. Because I mean, HOW CUTE will that be?!
Long story short, it took about a week for Crux to complete the job. And on February 4, my son's 8th birthday, I went and picked up the truck. Saying I was happy with how it turned out is an understatement. I was beyond elated!
The team at Crux nailed the design and execution. The pink is the exact matte finish I was hoping for. And the white part behind the logo, it has a pearly finish! And last but not least, the text is in a glossy finish to make it stand out.
This video of my dad driving the newly wrapped truck out into the world on Monday is definitely one of my favorite videos of all time.
